Ava rolls over

Sunday, January 31, was a red-letter day in Ava's life because she rolled from her stomach to her back. Here she is getting ready to roll over:

Ava loves to play with her toes as she rolls around on the floor. Now Ava is wrapped up tightly ("papoosed" as Scott calls it) and is ready to be put in bed:

Abbey or Ava?

I think Ava looks a lot like Abbey did as a baby. Here are two pictures of Abbey that look like Ava:

Ava at Four Months

Just before we left for St. George, Ava went for her four month checkup. She weighs 13 lbs 12 oz and is 23 inches. That puts her at the 50 percentile for weight (up from the 7 percentile at birth) and the 10 percentile for length (up from the 2 percentile at birth). 

Ava can now begin to have rice cereal! She babbles and coos, smiles, laughs, and squeals, but she hates to be on her tummy!

Abbey and Ava in St. George

Eric and his girls went to St. George with Scott, Beverly, Andrea and her kids, and later to be joined by Brent and Russ and their kids. Here are a few pictures of the Klein girls. Ava surrounded by her favorite St. George toys: Ava found her own toes in St. George. Ava and her cousin Isaac. No, she wasn't happy to have to sit there and have her picture taken: Abbey absolutely loves the bread twists at the Pizza Factory Express, where we had dinner on Friday night, January 22. The next day, Eric ran the half marathon with a bunch of family members. Some of Abbey's cousins pose with her for a picture at Grandpa Zimmerman's birthday party after the half marathon: What a fun weekend we had with Eric and his family!

These girls are Fun. Creative. Silly. Helpers. Loving. Talkative.

One morning Abbey came downstairs (to where her Aunt Melissa lives) to find out that both her and her cousin Grace were wearing the matching PJ's that Grandma Zimmerman gave them. They thought it was so silly when Aunt Melissa started calling them by the wrong names because she couldn't tell them apart!

Pictures

Abbey and Ava recently had their pictures taken at Target. About halfway through the photo shoot Ava refused to cooperate until she was fed. After being fed she was back to her normal cute self.

This is the only picture with Ava smiling...so of course Abbey isn't smiling.

Snow Elmo

Last weekend Eric and Abbey made their annual Snow Elmo. It turned out great!
