On this special day Abbey, Ava and I wish more than anything that we could celebrate Mother’s Day with Sheri. How nice it would be to give her hugs and kisses and tell her she is the best mommy/wife in the world! But for now we had to settle for watching home videos and talking about how awesome she is!
We got the idea to send a Mother’s Day balloon to Sheri in heaven. Abbey made a card that we tried to send with the balloon but the card proved to be too heavy to make the trip to heaven. So instead we wrote our names on the balloon so that Sheri would know who sent it.
This Mother’s Day I would also like to celebrate all of the great moms who have helped care for Abbey and Ava since Sheri left this life. Our lives have been blessed by the countless mothers who have selflessly loved Abbey and Ava. Here are just a couple of these amazing women. There are many more but I don’t have pictures or space for all of them.

Eric--thanks so much for this post. Naturally, it made me cry. I wish I lived closer so I could see your sweet girls grow and change. I wish I could tell them all the great stories of Sheri as a little girl (someday, when the time is right, I will). Please give the girls hugs and kisses from me--even though they don't know who I am. Love you guys, Sue
Thanks for this post Eric and for calling me on Mother's Day. I miss Sheri more than words can express, but know her girls are in good hands because of you and all the women in their lives.

Sheri was an amazing mother! I wish she were here to raise the girls herself. But, the girls are lucky to have you as their dad. You do such a great job. I love them and will do whatever I can to help you raise them.
